Am 30.10. durfte ich die Vernissage der Ausstellung Fragmented Identity von Yolanda Dorda fotografisch begleiten. Für mich war das einer dieser Abende, bei denen man schnell merkt, dass es nicht nur um schöne Bilder an der Wand geht, sondern um etwas, das tiefer geht.
In ihren Arbeiten beschäftigt sich Yolanda mit Themen wie Frausein, Identität und dem Prozess, sich selbst immer wieder neu zu hinterfragen und zu definieren. Das Selbstporträt spielt dabei eine zentrale Rolle. Nicht im Sinne von Selbstdarstellung, sondern als ehrliche Auseinandersetzung mit sich selbst, mit Rollenbildern und mit dem, was einen im Laufe des Lebens geprägt hat.
Während der Vernissage war spürbar, wie persönlich diese Arbeiten sind. Gleichzeitig haben sie viele Besucher dazu gebracht, über die eigene Identität und die eigenen Erfahrungen nachzudenken. Genau diese Mischung aus Intimität und Offenheit hat den Abend für mich besonders gemacht.
Ich habe mich sehr gefreut, diesen Moment für Yolanda und ihre Ausstellung festhalten zu dürfen.
Die Einzelausstellung Fragmented Identity läuft noch bis zum 20. Dezember 2025 und ist immer donnerstags bis samstags von 15 bis 19 Uhr oder nach Vereinbarung zu sehen.

On October 30th, I had the opportunity to photograph the opening of the exhibition Fragmented Identity by Yolanda Dorda. For me, it was one of those evenings where you quickly realize that it is not just about beautiful images on a wall, but about something much deeper.
In her work, Yolanda explores themes such as womanhood, identity, and the ongoing process of questioning and redefining oneself. The self portrait plays a central role in this. Not as a form of self display, but as an honest confrontation with oneself, with assigned roles, and with the experiences that shape a person over time.
During the opening, it was clear how personal these works are. At the same time, they encouraged many visitors to reflect on their own identity and experiences. This balance between intimacy and openness is what made the evening stand out to me.
I truly appreciated the opportunity to capture this moment for Yolanda and her exhibition.
The solo exhibition Fragmented Identity runs until December 20th, 2025 and can be visited from Thursday to Saturday between 3 pm and 7 pm or by appointment.
